This week I was involved in two AMAZING community service activities. I spent two days with these amazing children that were battling cancer. They all lived in a house called Casa Valentina, which is home for the child and a parent from all over Mexico to live so their child is in close proximity to the hospital at which they are receiving their treatment. The lady that worked with the hospital to found this house lost three children to a rare cancer so she wanted to devote her life to these chlildren battling with cancer to ensure that they had a fighting chance to survive.

Julie (Norway) playing in the pool with the kids..... we all ended up joining them in the pool by the end of the day. They had such a good time and it was awesome because for that day they didn't have to think about their sickness. We also taught two girls how to "swim". They were both afraid to go into the water in the beginning and by the end they were able to swim short distances between us... it was amazing!
