Every morning my roommate and I have to get from Aurora CO to Denver CO. It takes us about 45-60 minutes to do so. We get up anywhere between 6 and 6:15 am every morning. Clothilde showers at night so she just has to get dressed, clean up, pack her bag for the day and eat breakfast. I get up and shower in the morning. Once I'm showered I pack my bag and then go downstairs to eat breakfast. Everyday I eat a bowl of cereal and usually a glass of orange juice and Clothilde drinks coffee. Then we have about a 20 minute walk to the train station. We walk along the sidewalk, cut through an apartment building parking lot, cut through the parking lot of a grocery store and gas station, cross the 8 lane highway and there we are! We usually catch the H-Line (Nine Mile) train at 7:15am or if we are running a little late we catch the 7:33am train. The train ride lasts 30-40 minutes and usually it is so busy that we find ourselves sitting on the staircase of the door entrances. Most days I spend my train ride talking with Travis, my boyfriend or listening to my I-pod. Clothilde and I don't spend that much time talking to each other because we are both pretty tired still. Once we arrive at 16th and California we get off the train and catch the free mall bus that takes us down the 16th street mall. After the bus we have about 5 blocks left to walk until we get to the Sherman Center, our destination. Sometimes instead of getting off at 16th and California we stay on until 18th and California. When we do that we have about 10 blocks to walk but we don't have to take the bus then. The first two pictures are exterior pictures of the train that we ride. The third picture is what the seats on the train look. The fourth picture is me and Clothilde riding the train home while listening to our music and the last picture is a picture of the free mall bus. Just lately, one of our staff members, Dave Penny, has offered to give us a ride home whenever he can. He saw us one morning walking to the train station and later that day asked if we wanted a ride. He first asked my roommate if we wanted a ride but since her English isn't the strongest she agreed to something she had no idea she was agreeing to. So I had to go ask Dave what he asked her and we straightened it all out. lol. I told her she should not say yes unless she completely understands what shes is being asked or she may end up in a situation she doesn't want to be in..... :). After figuring out what he wanted, we gladly accepted his offer because it cuts out a lot of our walking and some of our time. He picks us up around 7:15am in the morning at our house but sometimes he runs a little late and we have to worry about him forgetting us, but he always comes through ;).
