Denver Home

Here is my house in Denver, Colorado. Actually the house I'm staying at is in Aurora, Colorado which is a suburb of Denver. My house is the house on the right, it is connected to another house. The house is very nice, perfect size for my host parents! As you walk in the front door you walk into the living room and on the right are the stairs to go upstairs. The living room has a very high slanted ceining with a fireplace, black leather couch, two black leather (comfortable) reclining chairs, a big tv and a painting on the wall painted by my host father. The theme all throughout the house is very western. Off to the left there are patio doors which leads you to their deck and small piece of lawn. The deck has many flowers, plants and a patio set. Its very cozy out there, but very warm ;). If you keep walking through the living room you will walk into the dinning room, which also has a very high slanted ceiling and to the right of there is the kitchen. The kitchen isn't too big but its nice and meets their needs. If you turn right out of the living room instead of going straight you will enter the den where the computer is and two couches. There is a bathroom, pantry and the garage off of the den. The garage is mainly taken up by their boat... fun fun! As you go up the stairs Clothilde (Belgium) and my bathroom is straight ahead. It has a toilet, sink and a bathtub. It is very nice to have our own bathroom because we are able to keep our own things in the shower and around the sink. If you turn to your right, our host parents bedroom is straight ahead. It is very big and nice. To the right is our bedroom. My roommate and I share a room, and a bed as well. They emptied out the closet and dresser for us to use but so I didn't have to repack my entire suitcase I have been living out of it instead of out of the closet. Our suitcases lay in front of the closet and my carry-on bag and shoes remain under the dresser. Clothilde and I actually share a bed... a little surprising but it works out just fine! I sleep on the left side, closest to the wall where I put my computer, pictures and phone on the floor by me while I sleep. The room can get warm but they gave us a fan and a cooler, which is a fan that you put water in so it puts out cooler air. They work fairly well but are a bit noisy. By the end of the first week, I have become so comfortable here that I think of it as my home ;).
